Vancouver’s Creative Future: Event May 3rd, 2008

On May 3, 2008 Vancouver Mayoral candidate Gregor Robertson will be at eatART to meet with the arts community and to discuss how he plans to make Vancouver a centre for creative capital.

As MLA for Vancouver Fairview, Gregor has demonstrated commitment to issues of housing affordability, social and environmental sustainability, and support for the creative sector of Vancouver.

Located at Great Northern Way Campus, eatART is an emerging organization devoted to ³energy awareness through art². The organization is home to a three and a half tonne solar-powered tricycle and the 1500 pound robotic Mondo Spider.

Join us on May 3rd to share ideas with the arts community about how Vancouver can develop an economy that goes beyond reliance on natural resources.

  1. [...] space dedicated to “Energy Awareness through Art”. The spider will be on view for the May 3rd event at eatART, so come check it out and show your support for Gregor [...]

  2. Who is this guy!?
He shows up at our events, has nothing to say, is super shy and expects us to vote for him for mayor?
The arts community has been shafted time and again by city hall, and this guy doesn’t strike me as the one who has the moxy to get the cheques written… he’s no Jim Green.
